“The ball I bowled to Harry Brook is a dream delivery for a left-arm spinner,” he said.

Pakistan all-rounder Arafat Minhas described his performance against England as a memorable moment after scoring 59 runs and taking six wickets for 40 runs in an outstanding all-round display.

Minhas became only the third Pakistani player to score a half-century and take at least five wickets in the same one-day international, highlighting his growing importance to the national side.

“Winning the match is the most important thing. It is a memorable day for me,” Minhas told PCB Digital.

Rawalpindi Remains Special for Minhas

The all-rounder said Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium had proved to be a memorable venue for him. He made his ODI debut at the same ground in May, claiming five wickets for 32 runs against Australia.

The left-arm spinner credited his success to bowling in the right areas and following the instructions of Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi.

“The captain’s plan was for me to bowl in the right areas,” he said. “Bowling in the right areas worked to my advantage.”

Reflecting on the dismissal of England batter Harry Brook, Minhas described his delivery as a dream ball for a left-arm spinner.

“The ball I bowled to Harry Brook is a dream delivery for a left-arm spinner,” he said.

Minhas Highlights Batting Partnership

Minhas also stressed the importance of building a partnership when he came to the crease, saying Pakistan’s batting effort helped put England under pressure.

“We put England under pressure while batting,” he said.

His contribution with both bat and ball proved crucial to Pakistan’s victory, further strengthening his credentials as a promising all-rounder.

Pakistan will face England again on October 25 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, where Minhas will have another opportunity to build on his impressive performance.
