Hasnain Nadeem Hits Century as Khalid Usman and Shahnawaz Dahani Shine in President’s Trophy
MIT Solutions secured a 30-run first-innings lead and reached 29-1 in their second innings by stumps.
ISLAMABAD: Hasnain Nadeem struck a brilliant century, while Khalid Usman and Shahnawaz Dahani produced impressive bowling spells on the second day of the fifth round of the President’s Trophy Grade-I.
The second day featured strong performances across four venues, with PTV, MIT Solutions and SNGPL strengthening their positions in their respective matches.
Hasnain Nadeem Leads MIT Solutions
At the Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi, MIT Solutions resumed their first innings at 186-8, with Hasnain Nadeem unbeaten on 87.
The opening batter completed his century and finished with 121 runs before MIT Solutions were bowled out for 223. His innings featured 18 fours and one six.
OGDCL responded with Rohail Nazir leading the scoring with 52 off 110 balls, including seven fours. Ali Zaryab scored 47, while Mohammad Sarwar Afridi remained unbeaten on 43.
Khalid Usman was the standout bowler for MIT Solutions, taking six wickets for 23 runs as OGDCL were dismissed for 193 in 63.4 overs.

PTV Take Control Against Ghani
At Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, Ghani resumed their first innings at 67-7 against PTV and were bowled out for 102.
Test fast bowler Haris Rauf claimed four wickets, while Israr Hussain and Kashif Ali took three wickets each.
PTV then dominated with the bat. Taimur Khan narrowly missed a century, scoring 97 with eight fours and five sixes, while Yasir Khan contributed 71.
Mohammad Ammar continued the impressive batting display with an unbeaten 80 as PTV reached 324-4 at the close.
Khurram Shahzad took two wickets for Ghani.
KRL Struggle Against State Bank
At the Imran Khan Stadium in Peshawar, play finally began between Khan Research Laboratories and State Bank of Pakistan after rain washed out the opening day.
SBP won the toss and opted to field, with Mohammad Abbas and Shahid Aziz taking three wickets each. Sirajuddin claimed two wickets as KRL struggled to 127-8 from 46 overs.
Saqib Khan was KRL’s top scorer with 35.
Shahnawaz Dahani Claims Five Wickets
At the Diamond Cricket Ground in Islamabad, Kingsmen Academy resumed on 31-1 and were dismissed for 217.
Mohammad Shayan top-scored with 66, while Mohammad Ilyas made 36.
SNGPL’s Shahnawaz Dahani was the pick of the bowlers, taking five wickets for 61 runs. Shehzad Gul also impressed with four wickets for 48.
SNGPL made a solid start in reply, reaching 140-2 in 35 overs.
Test opener Azan Awais remained unbeaten on 53, while former Test captain Shan Masood was not out on 45. The pair added 81 runs for the third wicket to put SNGPL in a strong position at stumps.
